Multicam Serratus Topquilt

Looking for something a bit tougher and can handle some long outings hunting and camping?  Based on the Custom Serratus Design this premium topquilt does it all.  Premium 30Denier fabrics to keep you comfortable and warm.

This Topquilt works for users on the ground (in a tent using an insulated sleeping pad) and is slightly wider than the other Serratus Topquilts

The design of the Serratus uses vertical box baffles combined with a horizontal baffle at the foot. Inside each baffle there is a ‘baffle gate’ system to help prevent movement of down while you are sleeping while still allowing you to move down to spots that you would like warmer or cooler (gravity shouldn’t move your down around).  There is a cinch cord at the foot end and top.  These allow you to control air movement effectively ‘venting’ hot air in different temperatures.  This makes it easier to use a warm quilt in warm temperatures creating a more versatile quilt for your hiking and camping needs.

Another benefit to a cinch bottom / zip design (vs a sewn up footbox) is that it is easier to dry.  You can spread the quilt right out in the sun (while on the trail allowing more surface area to be in the sunlight. If a quilt is compressed into a footbox and sewn then it compresses those baffles a bit making it take longer to air out, hence my design is more efficient on the trail or in the back country. The 30 Denier fabric can handle the dryer when you get home easier as well.  Just use low heat setting and throw in some tennis balls.

At the foot end there is an integrated insulated plug for completely closing off the footbox end without overtightening it.  In a situation where you would prefer a blanket rather than a bag, you can completely open up the quilt (unzipping the footbox – 20″ zipper at foot) and uncinch the bottom to allow a nice area blanket.

This model of Serratus comes with two pad straps , a stuff sack and storage bag.

Down used in all Little Shop of Hammocks quilts in sourced, produced and purchased in Canada.  It is ethically sourced as well. To reiterate, none of the down is from China nor is it bleached. This means the down is a higher grade / quality than what you may find in other quilts AND it IS Locally Made in Canada. We try and keep our dollars in Canada to support local. (no presewn chinese quilt shells or chinese stuffed quilts)

Includes:

• Stuff Sack and storage bag (for when not in use)
• One pad strap (2 sets of pad strap clips are on each quilt which allows you to have up to two straps per system)
• All have a Cinch bottom foot box with zipper.
• #3.5 YKK  zipper to create the footbox. (a bit tougher than the #3)
• Slightly offset neck cinch cord with a pocket to put the excess cord into (new 2025).

1. Temperature (ratings are based on loft / baffle filled with down to achieve a desired temperature range)
   • Comes in 2 temperature ratings.
     • -7°C and -12°C (add about 4oz to the weights of the -7°C quilts listed below)

   • • The quilts are designed to pull up to your chin. If you wish to cover your head pick the next longer quilt.
     • If you are on the edge of the height, move around a lot when sleeping, pick the next longer quilt

3. Taper 
   • Partial Taper: (Standard) Full width for 19″ (approx) then tapers inwards towards the bottom (6″ from each inner edge). Increases volume area in the body of the quilt.
4. Down Fill – Premium Canadian Sourced  Canadian Hutterite White Down. 
   • 850+ Fill Power Canadian White Duck Down (WDD)
   • White down brightens the fabric, of the quilt.
5. Neck Draft Collar – Standard
   • A small draft collar to keep heat from escaping from around the neck. Handy on those colder nights.
6. Loops / clips (2)
   • Comes with 2 quilt clips and straps standard.
7. FootBox 
   • Zipper / cinch
     • Allows you to open up the quilt totally like a blanket.
     • Easy venting and drying.
     • Zipper is approximately 20-22″ in Length
8. Fabric
   • 30D Multicam outer and a nice 30D epsilon digi cam inner (feel similar to cotton)
